Designer Delby Bragais on Supporting Women Led Weaving Communities in the Philippines

Fashion Designer Delby Bragais will be showcasing a collection highlighting the indigenous Filipino handwoven fabric to support women-led weaving communities and local artisans while celebrating heritage at the International Women's Day: Women Lead Conference on March 8, Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mayuree Ballroom of the Dusit Thani Manila.

The collection of cocktail dresses features a recurring abstract design showing people hand in hand (“kapit-kamay”) a mix of playful design elements, textures, weave patterns and embellishments in different variations of marvelous magenta, royal purple, youthful pinks, fiery reds interspersed with denim blues, silver grays and jet black. As a certified image consultant, Delby remains a favorite among “Women of Substance & Style”, mostly leaders & founders, for her custom made figure flattering designs and her ability in creating a wide range of smart wardrobe pieces from business suits to evening gowns to support the demands of their multifaceted lifestyle.

In an effort to help save a dying craft, passed on through generations and usually through the women in the family, Delby is launching an evergreen collection of “limited edition” fashionable pieces using Inabel ranging from jackets, fashion bibs, capelets , vests, and other wearables.
